For me this isn’t just Day 8, its actually my 27th Birthday! Not one I’ll forget that’s for sure!

Yesterday afternoon we’d trekked down from the summit to Mcleodgunj, where we joined a vehicle to return to Pathankot and take the overnight train to Delhi. On the way down we stopped for lunch at a place called ‘magic view’ and watch the clouds move across the mountain range. It was absolutely stunning and really was a ‘magic view’!

After surviving our second sleeper train journey we arrived in Delhi early and checked into our hotel. I cant tell you how great a hot shower felt at this point!

Some of our work in the outside dining area

After freshening up we headed straight over to CanKids, the community project we were helping to support and on arrival it struck me immediately what a special place this was, full of smiling faces.

CanKids is a hospice caring for people up to the age of 25 and also providing education and training medical staff on how to talk to people about cancer and break hard news.

We were soon set to work decorating the stair wells, kitchen and outside dining areas.

Don’t forget, we’re doing this trek and community project to help raise funds for Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity. Please donate to our cause and help us hit our £25,000 target!
