TrekFest – The Peaks

Explore the Peak District on this spectacular charity challenge trek!

The Peak District is home to stunning scenery and more than lives up to its reputation as one of Britain’s most inspiring National Parks. Both routes start in the beautiful Hope Valley – the heart of the Peak District home to picturesque and ancient landscapes. The 25km route encompasses part of the enchanting Ladybower reservoir and the 50km route summits Kinder Scout –  a moorland plateau that at 636m (2,087ft) is the highest point in the Peak District, Derbyshire and the East Midlands! We leave the Event Village with all other routes and head straight through Castleton. We will then get a feel of the beautiful Peak District countryside as we arrive at Hollins Cross, followed by walking through Edale. As we exit Edale we leave all the other routes behind and continue towards Nether Booth Farm and the Ladybower Reservoir. The route will join the reservoir path and follow the reservoir before heading back to the Event Village.

We leave the Event Village with the other route and head straight through Castleton. We will then get a feel of the beautiful Peak District countryside as we arrive at Hollins Cross, followed by walking through Edale. As we exit Edale we leave the 25km route and join the Pennine Way which will lead us up and over Kinder Scout. Once we have summited, we will descend into Hayfield before following distinguished paths until we reach Peak Forest. Our route back will be on country roads before entering Hope and back to the Event Village.

Payment options

Upon registration, you will be asked to choose one of the following options.

Payment Option A – Registration fee + Minimum sponsorship

You pay the registration fee and in addition, you commit to raising the relevant minimum sponsorship for your chosen charity.

25km – £45 registration fee + £165 minimum sponsorship per person
50km – £60 registration fee + £300 minimum sponsorship per person

50% of the fundraising target (either £82.50 or £150) must be received by your chosen charity no later than 6 weeks prior to the challenge. At this time, your chosen charity will pay the cost of the challenge (25km =£50 or 50km = £90) from your minimum sponsorship. The other 50% and pledges for the remaining sponsorship must be sent to your charity no later than 4 weeks after completion of the event.

 

Payment Option B – Registration fee + Self-funding balance

You pay the registration fee AND the challenge balance. Although there is no minimum sponsorship requirement, we do ask you to raise funds for a charity of your choice.

25km – £45 registration fee + £50 = Total Cost £95 per person
50km – £60 registration fee + £90 = Total Cost £150 per person

Six weeks prior to the event an invoice will be sent to you for the relevant challenge balance shown above.
