House Clearances

house clearance

The clearance of a house that has been a home to a loved one can be very difficult. We make every effort to provide a house clearance service that minimises the stress that can be involved in this process. Whatever the reason for clearing a property, The Hospice Shop can complete the process from start to finish and at the same time you’ll be helping a local charity care for people with life limiting illnesses.

Building on our hospice ethos of putting our customers at the centre of everything we do and offering them an unrivaled level of service, we are extending our care to offer the local community a house clearance service.

We use the same team of trained, professional staff and volunteers that work for our hospice retail division, to help with all your house clearance needs.

Our shops are based in Shirley Southampton, Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh. Our charity house clearance service covers the local area so please get in touch if we can help.

Choose the service that best fits your needs…

Complete House Clearance

If you wish to completely empty a property there will be a fee based on your individual needs. Our trained staff will assess your property and produce a report and a quote for the clearance of all items. The fee is based on the size of property to be cleared, the amount of items for removal and the proportion of saleable items. All saleable items will be carefully packed and sold in our charity shops and all remaining items will be, where possible, recycled resulting in a completely clear property.

Selective removal

This is a completely free service. Our trained staff will assess your property for saleable items and will give you a report on the items we wish to take. An appointment will be made with you at a convenient time, with availability 7 days a week, to return and carefully pack and remove items which we can then sell through our shops leaving only non-saleable items.

Why choose The Hospice Shop house clearance Service?

  • We offer a stress free, quick service of varying degrees to meet your needs

  • A full assessment will be done on the property by trained professionals to establish saleable, recyclable and non-recyclable items

  • Saleable goods will be sold in our hospice shops so we can raise money to continue to care for local people

  • Goods that can’t be sold will be recycled wherever possible

  • If you wish us to take away non-saleable and non-recyclable items, we will do so for a highly competitive rate – far cheaper than hiring a skip
