Celebrating Countess Mountbatten nurses

We would really like to show our appreciation for all our Countess Mountbatten nurses do to help people facing death, dying and bereavement.

We would like to share your messages about our nurses to mark International Nurses’ Day on 12 May.

We would love you to take part by leaving a comment below or on our Facebook page.

These will be shared and circulated with our nursing staff as a way of saying thank you to them all.

My love to you all who continue ‘in house and in the community ‘ to bring your special smiles and loving care to people at one of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. Still think of you all so often and the times we shared. Every blessing AnneB

All of the people, paid and volunteers, made the absolute dread of losing a husband and dad not less painful, but less frightening and lonely. My mum was with you for less than 24 hours before she passed on the 6th March this year. You all looked after her so beautifully and with so much dignity and respect. At the same time you also looked after myself and my sister when we refused to leave her side throughout those hours. We can never repay you and we will be eternally grateful that you all were there for us. The words thank you feel totally inadequate in this instance – but thank you.
