Knit-a-chick for Countess Mountbatten Hospice

Knitters, Needle Pilots, Woolwinders and Crochetiers of Hampshire, we need you!

Could you knit-a-chick for us to fill with a creme egg? The handmade chicks will then be sold in the hospice, our shops and also at schools and local businesses.

Money raised will go towards our services at the hospice. The more chicks we can sell the more money we can raise! Last year your efforts raised just under £5000, which was AMAZING!

If you’re an avid knitter, the chicks are relatively easy to make and seem to be a very popular gift to buy at Easter.

If you already have a knitted chick pattern you would rather use then please do.

Please donate chicks before Friday 27 March 2020.  You can drop them off at the fundraising office at the hospice or at one of our shops in West End, Hedge End and Weeke.

Not a knitter?

Don’t worry you can still get involved! Each chick needs be filled with a creme egg before they can be sold, so why not get involved and support our Easter campaign by donating a box or two?

Or, if you would like to sell our knitted chicks in your business or work place please get in touch with Mark in the fundraising team on 023 8254 8803 or email

Happy knitting!
