Miss Hampshire Finalist supports the Hospice

Issabelle Cooper

Isobelle Cooper’s Story

I am currently in the Final for Miss Hampshire 2015 and my chosen charity is the wonderful Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity.

CMHC is very close to my heart as my auntie, Tina Gibbs, sadly passed away in the Hospice. Even though this was and still is very sad for the family we can find peace in the knowledge that she was well looked after by the amazing care team.

Because of the care team’s support and constant attention to Tina and the family’s needs we decided to fundraise for the Charity. In 2011 we organised a Charity Ball in memory of Tina which was a very successful event and raised over £2,000. However, the charity work did not stop there and we have been busy over the last few years getting involved with CMHC events and fundraising.

When I found out I was in the Miss Hampshire Final and could chose a charity to support, there was no doubt in my mind which charity I would pick. I have recently taken part in a sponsored silence for CMHC which I completed at my workplace, E’clips hairdressers in West End. Anyone that knows me understands this was a real challenge. However with the support of my colleagues and friends I successfully completed my sponsored silence and raised over £200.

I am so grateful of everyone’s support so far and it would be an amazing honour to represent Hampshire in the National Finals. I intend to continue to support this wonderful Charity.
