Sunflower Memory Walk

Join us to celebrate the life of a loved one…

Date: 24th June 2018

Start-time 10am

Location: Broadlands  Romsey  Hampshire  SO51 9ZD

Remember someone special and celebrate their life by taking part in our family-friendly 5km Sunflower Memory Walk around the beautiful grounds of Broadlands, Romsey, home of Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

Each participant will receive a wooden sunflower to dedicate to someone special.  After the walk participants can hand these sunflowers to event staff who will take them back to the Hospice. These will then be displayed in special planters and will decorate our beautiful garden, creating a sea of colour.  You’ll also be invited  to our Sunflower Memories event on Sunday 8th July from 2pm to 4pm where you’re invited to view the beautiful display of sunflowers.  Our Chaplain will also conduct a blessing at the event in memory of all those whom a sunflower has been dedicated to.

The sunflowers will remain on display until 31st July for patients, families, volunteers, staff and visitors to enjoy. You are welcome to come along to the hospice at any time to see them. Afterwards the sunflowers will be available for you to collect from the charity office until the 31st August.
